Binance Smart Chain

If you have not already installed MetaMask, click here to follow the tutorial on how to install MetaMask.

If you haven’t read that please go through it because that will be our basis for this tutorial.

1. Go to your MetaMask extension and open the dashboard area.

1. Click on the image icon on the upper right corner, and click on Settings.

1. It will redirect to the Settings page. On the settings page click on Networks.

1. Click on Add Network button, a fill out form will show. Input this information for Binance Smart Chain.

Network Name: Smart Chain

Then click Save.

1. Add another network, this network will be our test network. Input the following information:

Network Name: Smart Chain - Testnet

1. Go back to your dashboard area and click the list of networks, right beside the image icon.

1. Click on Account 1 to get the code, it will automatically copy.

1. Go to https://testnet.binance.org/faucet-smart and paste your code there. Now, click on the Give me BNB. It will give a small amount of BNB in your metamask account. Select the amount you wish to receive. You might need to wait a couple of minutes, but the funds will show up in your testnet wallet imminently.

1. Now go back to your metamask dashboard and see that you are earning BNB for your test network. To do a test send the funds off somewhere to demonstrate how it works. We’ve just grabbed a random address from https://testnet.bscscan.com/ that we’ll donate them to. Go ahead and click Send.

1. Click Next, then get a chance to review the transaction and if everything looks good, hit Confirm. You’ll get a notification informing you when your transaction settles.
